What we collect and why
When you place an order we collect the details we need to fulfil it: your name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, and what you bought. We use this to process the order, arrange delivery, take payment, send order updates, and answer support questions.
If you contact us through the website we keep the message and your contact details so we can reply and follow up.
If you leave a comment on the site we collect the comment, your name, email, and IP address (for spam detection).
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you can opt in to saving your name, email and website in cookies so you don’t have to fill them in again next time. These cookies last one year.
If you visit the login page we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close the browser.
When you log in we set cookies to save your login details and your screen display choices. Login cookies last two days; screen options cookies last a year. If you tick “Remember Me” your login lasts two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article a cookie is stored in your browser. It expires after one day and contains only the post ID.
Embedded content from other sites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited those websites. They may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking it if you have an account and are logged in to those sites.
Who we share your data with
We share order details with our delivery partners (so your order can reach you), our payment processor (Stripe / WooPayments / PayPal, depending on how you paid), and any third-party supplier or manufacturer fulfilling part of the order on our behalf. We don’t sell your data to anyone.
How long we keep your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognise and approve any follow-ups automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Order records are retained for at least six years to meet UK accounting and tax rules.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
